Meet Our Teachers
Escuela Cooperativa is excited to have four outstanding teachers. Martha joined us in 2020 as the lead teacher. Natalia Cunada joined her in August 2021 as the assistant. In 2022, we added two teachers to the team to cover the new classroom. Lupita is the lead and Ana Coria is her assistant.
Our four teachers have developed a team approach to work across two classrooms. In August 2022, we added a new building to double our enrollment. To ensure a successful transition, the team met for two days in August to talk about sharing responsibilities and coordinating activities for the children.
They will attend professional development seminars together on a monthly basis throughout the year.
Thanks to our supporters, all four teachers are currently enrolled in an international online course leading to a certificate: Guia Montessori.
Martha Elena Ortiz
Lead Teacher
"Children are born with an intelligence and a potential that cannot be limited, the little ones are not incomplete adults, they are adults in formation, whom I accompany with all the love to find themselves, potentiating their weaknesses and virtues so that they can use them as tools.
It fills my soul to be part of their accompaniment in their world of knowledge, discovering each day the soul of each one of them, their transparency, innocence and pure love that fills me with life the fact of walking learning with them, because all the days they are my little teachers."

Natalia Bañuelos Meza
Assistant Teacher
"Being a teacher allows you to be an eternal student, since when a topic is taught is when you learn the most from it. The students' questions will motivate you to delve deeper and deeper into the different topics, as you investigate in order to incorporate new events, technologies and discoveries into your class.
Between the ages of 3 and 5, boys and girls learn many new skills. They play games, run, climb, and begin to learn numbers and letters. But it can be difficult for them to see things from someone else's perspective, so I give myself the opportunity to support these little ones to be able to achieve their learning."
